In Season

What's popular this summer ?
Sweet, yellow and ripe mangoes. A kilo is only 45 Baht !
Fragrant flowers are blooming in April and May, roses (all colors), Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Champaca are sold in every public market in Bangkok at bargain prices.
Enjoy the sweetness and fragrance of summer . . . . before it's gone !

Inspite of the heat in Thailand, I definitely LOVE the SUMMER MONTHS !

Pink Triple Treat

An orchid farmer once told me that fragrant catleyas bear flowers once a year only. But I will make an exception with this pink orchid beauty I bought from a local weekend market three years ago. It blooms three times a year when carefully taken care of and its flowers would last for three weeks. Hopefully, it will bear flowers again at the onset of the next rainy season.

Thai Jasmine Garland

Traditional Thai Jasmine garland is heavily scented, with Jasmine flowers as the core flower and  roses and a strange looking white flower called dok ruk (flower of love) added as accents.
