In Memory of Dad
My dad, Augusto Cembrano joined his Creator early evening today due to complications caused by Alzheimer's. May his soul rest in peace.Absolve, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the soul of Thy servant Augusto, from every bond of sin, that being raised in the glory of the resurrection, he may be refreshed among the Saints and Elect.Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Impressions of the Big Flood
Grades 10 and11 students in the Catholic school where I work as a teacher put up an art exhibit, the theme of which is Impressions of the Big Flood. I took some photos of the ones I found meaningful in the context of the effects of the month long flood in the lives of the people living here in Bangkok. Cheers to all students who participated in the exhibit.

My son took a look at some of the entries to the art exhibit.
He later moved on to the administration building where photos of the school during the flood crisis were on display. We supported the school by buying raffle tickets and flood souvenir T-shirts to help finance the repair of the damaged buildings.
The model of the school was on display during the exhibit.Thursday, March 1, 2012
Summer is Here
The Earth is a painting with every shade of green.
The chirping of birds, as they gracefully fly by,
amidst the golden hue of the lustrous sky.
The flowers are so fragrant, the trees are their shield,
or under the scorching heat a breeze they should feel.
The voices of children, as they play in the park.
It is a definite sign, summer has made its mark.

Children's Day

Today is the eve of Childrens' Day in Thailand and JM's first in his new school. Classes were cancelled and the rest of the day was spent on fun activities, dancing, games and of course, a really filling lunch for students and teachers courtesy of the students parents.

At my faculty office with my favorite red teddy bear.
Above was my lunch, I had ham fried rice, sushi, pizza, KFC chicken and a delicious desert made of blueberry and nuts.

New Years' Day Photos
We attended the New Years' Day mass at Assumption Cathedral and we saw this beautiful nativity scene on the left side of the altar.
The baby Jesus on His crib.
After mass, we proceeded to the Mall Bangkae for New Years' Day dinner. Glowing reindeers are a sight to behold.
And this giant Christmas tree as well !
